Glass insulators are widely used in Power Systems And Special Environments due to their unique properties, with main scenarios including:

1.High voltage and ultra-high voltage transmission lines
Used for insulation support between wires and towers in overhead power lines, especially in high voltage lines (such as 110kV, 220kV, 500kV and above), its high mechanical strength and resistance to electrical breakdown can effectively ensure the safety of the line.

2.Areas with frequent thunderstorms
Glass insulators are commonly used in areas with frequent lightning activity, such as mountainous and tropical regions. Their good grounding design can quickly dissipate lightning currents and reduce tripping accidents caused by lightning strikes.

3.High pollution and high salt spray environment
Suitable for coastal areas, chemical plant surroundings, or areas with severe industrial pollution. The glass surface is smooth and not easy to accumulate dirt. It has strong self-cleaning ability after being washed by rainwater, avoiding flashover caused by accumulated dirt.

4.High altitude and extreme climate regions
In high altitude areas with large temperature difference between day and night and strong ultraviolet radiation, or cold and heavily iced areas, the temperature change resistance (-50 ℃ to+80 ℃) and aging resistance of glass insulators are outstanding.

5.Electrified railway overhead contact system
Used for insulation support of railway power contact network, to withstand mechanical vibration and electrical loads, ensuring the stability of train power supply system.

6.Substation equipment connection
As an insulation medium for busbars, isolating switches, and other equipment in substations, it ensures safe isolation between high-voltage equipment and grounding structures.
